OPENING RECEPTIONS FOR PWPL AND DEO GALLERIES

On Thursday, February 10, from 6 to 8 p.m., the Peter White Public Library and the City of Marquette Office of Arts and Culture will be hosting the opening receptions for the three art galleries located at the library. The Deo Gallery is part of the City’s Arts & Culture Center, located in the lower level of PWPL; it is curated monthly by the Lake Superior Art Association. The Deo Gallery’s exhibit will be up through March 1. The library galleries’ exhibits will be up until April 1. Receptions are free and open to the public. Masks are required.

EXHIBITS:

The Deo Gallery: Christine Saari, LOOKING BACK (Photographs 1972-2015) LOOKING BACK is comprised of black & white and color darkroom photographs. Artist Talk at 7 p.m.

Huron Mountain Club Gallery (Main floor): University of Michigan, Visualizing Translation: Homeland and Heimat in Detroit and Dortmund

Lower Level Lobby Gallery (Outside the Deo Gallery): Anastasia Greer, Joke’s Somewhere, Maybe Me?
