Holiday Evergreen Baskets
The Marquette Downtown Development Authority (MDDA) is requesting proposals from interested florists for the creation of 120 decorative holiday greens baskets for the downtown district for the 2021-2022 holiday season.
A written proposal shall be emailed to Rebecca Finco, at Becky@downtownmarquette.org, no later than 5:00 p.m. (EST), on Thursday, September 30, 2021. You will receive an email confirmation once your proposal has been received. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.
Proposals Must Include:
Description of evergreen baskets
Photo of sample evergreen basket
Price per completed basket
Total cost for 120 baskets
Specifications:
Quantity of hanging baskets: 120
Baskets shall be provided by the MDDA. MDDA staff will coordinate to deliver empty baskets to the successful vendor after the bid is awarded by the MDDA Board of Directors at their October 14, 2021 meeting.
Basket size: 16” wide x 10” deep x 10” high
Types of greens: The MDDA would like an eye-catching display of various fresh greens that are full and lush and completely fill the basket, including a minimum variety of three types of fresh greens per basket.
Number of greens: There is no specific number of greens required; however, to achieve the desired look, each basket shall contain “spiller and filler” greens in an amount proportionate to the basket size.
Other specifications:
• Basket product shall contain a weather-resistant, red fabric ribbon bow. Completed bow shall be no smaller than 16” in diameter.
• Greens shall be installed in such a way to provide for a string of mini-lights to be securely installed in each basket by MDDA staff.
• Baskets shall be completed and ready for installation by November 15, 2021. Vendor shall coordinate with MDDA for pick-up.
