PSA: Vehicle Parade, Procession Planned for Saturday, October 11
On Sunday, Oct. 11, there will be a vehicular parade traveling through the City of Marquette from 2 to 4 p.m. The parade is to begin at 1148 West Washington and leave the City limits on U.S. 41. It will return to the City limits heading east on Wright Street to Presque Isle Avenue, north on Presque Isle, to Hawley Street, east on Hawley Street, north on Lakeshore Boulevard, around Peter White Drive, returning on Lakeshore Boulevard to Hawley Street to Presque Isle Avenue, east on Fair Avenue, south on Third Street to Front, east on Front Street to Lakeshore Boulevard, north on Lakeshore Boulevard to Fair Avenue, south on Third Street and returning to 1148 West Washington. Participants will follow the rules of the road; however, the motoring public is asked to be alert along the parade’s route.

On Sunday, Oct. 11, there will be a [walking] procession from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. The procession will start at the St. Peter Cathedral at 311 W. Baraga Ave., heading west to Fifth Street, north on Fifth Street to West Washington Street, east on West Washington Street to Third Street, south on Third Street and returning to the Cathedral on Baraga Avenue Participants will follow the rules of the road; however, the motoring public is asked to be alert to walkers crossing all the streets along the route.
