Parking Information for Blueberry Festival in Downtown Marquette
July 29-31 is shaping up to be one of the busiest weekends of the year in Downtown Marquette! There are several events happening during this time, with several "No Parking" areas, complimentary parking days, and preferred parking locations for specific events.
Below, you will find information on parking restrictions and complimentary parking for Blueberry Festival on Friday, July 30.
Thursday, July 29
preparations will be underway for the annual Blueberry Festival set for Friday, July 30, and with that comes overnight parking bans for early morning on-street preparation. NO OVERNIGHT PARKING signs will be placed on the 100 block of W. Washington St, and the 100 and 200 blocks of S. Front Street on Thursday, July 29. Meters will be covered and signed as NO PARKING Thursday, July 29 through Friday, July 30 on the 100 block of E. Washington St., 100 blocks of E. and W. Main St., and the 100 block of N. Front St. These parking closures are to accommodate the Blueberry Festival area as well as the surrounding areas used by vendors for accessing and exiting the event area. Businesses should remind patrons they should make alternative plans for parking on Thursday night if they plan on parking in the event area.
Friday, July 30
The Blueberry Festival event area of the 100 block of W. Washington St, and the 100 and 200 blocks of S. Front Street will be closed to traffic at 5:00 a.m. on Friday, July 30, and will remain closed until 9:30 p.m.NO OUTSIDE VEHICLE TRAFFIC will be permitted into the festival area during this time, including delivery trucks and services. Please reach out to any companies that may be making deliveries to your business on Friday, July 30 if you reside within the Festival area.
Parking time limits will be suspended on Friday, July 30 in Downtown Marquette public parking lots and metered spaces, Parking will be free of charge that day thanks to the Marquette DDA and the Marquette Police Department. General parking restrictions, including private parking and reserved handicapped parking, will still be enforced.
The Blueberry Festival area will re-open to traffic at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 30.
