Hiawatha Music Co-op Continues Search for New Executive Director
Marquette, Michigan – The Hiawatha Music Co-op (HMC), one of the leading arts organizations in the Upper Peninsula and host of the Annual Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival, is accepting applications for its Executive Director position. Susan Divine, who has served as Executive Director since 2012 will be retiring this Fall.
The organization is seeking a passionate individual with an interest in the arts to serve as Executive Director. The position will oversee operations, programming and events, as well as act as the face of the organization.
This is a .6 full-time equivalent position (1,200-1,400 annual hours) with a variable schedule and seasonal focus – May through September on annual Festival event planning and implementation (average 20-40 hours per week Spring/Summer), and more flexible scheduling around programming and activities October through April (average 12-20 hours per week Fall/Winter). The Executive Director reports directly to a 10 Member Board of Directors and has oversight over part-time office staff, volunteers, and contracted grant writing and fundraising staff. A significant portion of work is supported through the help of well-established committees and dedicated volunteers.
