The 18th annual Blueberry Festival, is set for Friday, July 26, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Downtown Marquette. Washington and Front streets will be bustling with sidewalk sales, food vendors, artists, demonstrations, pony rides, inflatable arcade games, and activities for children and families. Downtown restaurants will satisfy your cravings for blueberry fare, from blueberry pizza to blueberry beer, while many downtown shops offer will offer “blue” specials. Local farmers will be on-hand throughout the day selling fresh produce, including mounds of plump blueberries and music fills the streets as live musicians perform throughout the day.

Registration for Blueberry Festival will open on Monday, February 5, 2019.
The Marquette Downtown Development Authority invites artisans, food vendors and nonprofit organizations to join the fun and set up a booth during the annual Blueberry Festival on Friday, July 26, in Marquette, MI. The application deadline is end of May 2019.
Due to limited available space, a cap has been set on the number of vendors allowed at the event and previous booth locations are not guaranteed. All applications will be subject to review and approved at the discretion of the Marquette Downtown Development Authority. Vendors will be notified of their approval in early June. Vendors not approved will have their registration fee refunded.
Vendors may request one or two (10’x10’) spaces for Blueberry Festival. Booth sharing will not be permitted. Vendors must provide their own tents, weights, tables, chairs and any other booth items needed.These items will NOT be available at the time of set-up for the festival. Tents must be weighted, as the festival is in close proximity to Lake Superior, where strong winds are frequent. Please note: vendors MUST contain their booth within their one or two (10’x10′) spaces. Vendors will NOT be able to utilize space outside of this area, such as the sidewalk or down the middle of the street/fire lane. If you are concerned about being able to fit your booth within a 10’x10′ space, please consider requesting two spaces.
All retail items sold by vendors at the 2019 Blueberry Festival must be handmade, original items only. No resale merchandise, kits or pre-manufactured items will be allowed without approval. Vendors will be required to submit one to three photos of the products they plan to sell at the 2019 Blueberry Festival with their application.
Information-type vendors will be required to include an activity with their booth. This could be selling items, kids activities, fundraisers, or similar. If you have questions, please contact our office.
Vendors preparing food on-site must submit a copy of their health department license with application. More information about temporary food service licenses can be found here. All food vendors utilizing heat or open flame within or near their tent will have their tent inspected by the Marquette Fire Chief. Tents MUST be non-flammable and should align with applicable fire codes.
Downtown Business Registration
The Marquette Downtown Development Authority invites businesses within the downtown district to join the fun and set up a booth during the annual Blueberry Festival on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The deadline to apply will be of May 24, 2019.
Businesses may request one or two (10’x10’) spaces for Blueberry Festival. Booth sharing will not be permitted. Please note: businesses MUST contain their booth within their one or two (10’x10′) spaces. Businesses will NOT be able to utilize space outside of their assigned area. If you are concerned about being able to fit your booth within the assigned space, please consider requesting two spaces.
Businesses located inside the street closure areas (100 block of West Washington and 100 & 200 blocks of South Front) may use the area directly in front of their establishment, either on the sidewalk or out in the street, or offer sales/specials inside their store only. Businesses located outside of the street closure areas may have a reserved booth space within the festival boundaries or offer sales/specials at their business location. Note: If you are not using the street space in front of your business, a downtown district business from outside the closure area or an outside vendor may be placed there. Discretion is used in assigning outside vendor spaces in front of downtown businesses.
